With over 15 years experience as a chef, John boasts an impressive career, heading up kitchens in some of Glasgow's most loved restaurants. He started his career at just 16 in the 5 star Hilton Hotel, and mastering his craft under the leadership of incredible chefs. As the Executive Head Chef at Kained Holdings, he developed menus and lead teams at Porter & Rye, The Finnieston & Lebowskis, before moving to take up the role of Head Chef at the 5 star Mar Hall Hotel.

His talent has not gone unnoticed, winning 5 Bronze medals & Scottish Culinary Championships and being the first person in Scotland to receive the Craft Guild of Chefs Rising Star Award. Most recently he was the proud winner of the Glasgow Community Food Group Vegetarian Challenge, judged by MasterChef winner Gary McLean.
